Your GDPR Rights

Introduction
The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) gives you, as a data subject, certain rights regarding your personal data. This page explains these rights and how you can exercise them on JobMatch.
If you are located in the European Union, these rights apply to you. We also extend many of these rights to all users regardless of location.
1. Right to Access (Article 15 GDPR)
You have the right to obtain confirmation as to whether we process your personal data and, if so, access to that data.
How to Exercise:
- Go to Settings → Data Management → Export Data
- Or contact us at privacy@job-matchmm.com
We will provide your data in a structured, commonly used, and machine-readable format within 30 days.
2. Right to Rectification (Article 16 GDPR)
You have the right to have inaccurate personal data corrected and incomplete data completed.
How to Exercise:
- Update your profile information directly in Settings → Edit Profile
- Or contact us if you need assistance
3. Right to Erasure ("Right to be Forgotten") (Article 17 GDPR)
You have the right to request deletion of your personal data in certain circumstances, such as when:
- The data is no longer necessary for the original purpose
- You withdraw consent and there is no other legal basis
- You object to processing and there are no overriding legitimate grounds
- The data has been unlawfully processed

Note: We may retain certain data if required by law or for legitimate business purposes (e.g., transaction records for tax compliance).
4. Right to Restrict Processing (Article 18 GDPR)
You have the right to restrict the processing of your personal data in certain circumstances, such as when:
- You contest the accuracy of the data
- The processing is unlawful and you oppose erasure
- We no longer need the data but you need it for legal claims

5. Right to Data Portability (Article 20 GDPR)
You have the right to receive your personal data in a structured, commonly used, and machine-readable format and to transmit that data to another controller.
How to Exercise:
- Go to Settings → Data Management → Export Data
- Your data will be provided in JSON format
- You can download and transfer it to another service
6. Right to Object (Article 21 GDPR)
You have the right to object to processing of your personal data based on legitimate interests or for direct marketing purposes.
How to Exercise:
- For marketing: Go to Settings → Email Preferences and disable marketing emails
- For other processing: Contact us at privacy@job-matchmm.com
7. Rights Related to Automated Decision-Making (Article 22 GDPR)
You have the right not to be subject to a decision based solely on automated processing, including profiling, that produces legal effects or similarly significantly affects you.
Our Position: Our matching algorithm provides suggestions but does not make automated decisions that produce legal effects. You always have control over your matches and can choose to accept or reject suggestions.
8. Right to Withdraw Consent (Article 7 GDPR)
Where processing is based on consent, you have the right to withdraw consent at any time. Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal.

- Email preferences: Settings → Email Preferences
- Cookie preferences: Cookie consent banner or browser settings
- Marketing consent: Settings → Email Preferences → Disable marketing emails
9. Right to Lodge a Complaint (Article 77 GDPR)
You have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority if you believe we have violated your data protection rights.
How to Exercise:
- Contact your national data protection authority
- For EU users, find your authority at: EDPB Members
- We encourage you to contact us first at privacy@job-matchmm.com to resolve any concerns
10. Response Times
We will respond to your requests within 30 days. If your request is complex or we receive many requests, we may extend this by up to 60 days, and we will inform you of the extension.
11. Identity Verification
To protect your privacy, we may need to verify your identity before processing certain requests. We may ask for:
- Confirmation of your email address
- Additional identification if necessary
